Anderson & Associates is pleased to present the final results of our additional
percolation testing that we performed on June 2nd, 2010 at the subject site for the
purpose of determining that the existing proposed septic field would be suitable for a
standard septic system.
Our firm performed a shallow percolation test from 3 to 3.5 feet below ground surface
(bgs), and a deep percolation test at approximately 25 feet bgs. Each boring was
drilled utilizing a 4 inch diameter auger and a Simco 2400 drill rig. Each hole was
drilled to depth and then a 2 inch diameter pvc percolation test pipe was placed inside
the hole. Gravel was backfilled around the annular space up to six inches in depth.
Each hole was presoaked with water for a 24 hour period and our percolation tests
began the next day. Below are the results of the percolation tests.
PERC 1 — 3.5 feet bgs — 4 hour test — no motion — failed
PERC 2 — 24.2 feet bgs — hour test — 19.23 min/in — passed in accordance with San
Joaquin County requirements.
From the results it appears that the site is suitable for a standard septic system
consisting of 3 feet diameter by 25 feet septic pits.
The analysis, conclusions and recommendations contained in this report are based on
the site conditions as they existed at the time we drilled our test holes and performed
our percolation tests. It was assumed that the test holes are representative of the
subsurface conditions throughout the site.
