March 18, 2009 <br /> SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> JHALLI PROPERTY <br /> 17155 LONE TREE ROAD <br /> ESCALON, CALIFORNIA <br /> OUR PROJECT NUMBER: LGS090502 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION AND PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT <br /> Our office was contracted by Gurmit Jhalli of Escalon to conduct a Soil Suitability Study for the <br /> property at 17155 Lone Tree Road in Escalon, California (the"Site"). <br /> The Soil Suitability Study (SSS) was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for <br /> use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of Section <br /> 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. A major element of the field work <br /> included conducting percolation tests that meet the required absorption rates as required by <br /> San Joaquin County, Public Health Services, Environmental Health Department (EHD). <br /> In addition to conducting the percolation tests, a review of published soil information, geologic <br /> maps, and groundwater information was performed to evaluate the suitability of soils for use <br /> with a septic system. <br /> The formatting of this report has been designed to follow, to the greatest degree possible, the <br /> EHD's Soil Suitability Study Requirements Checklist, dated July 14, 2003. <br /> 1.1 Site Description <br /> The Assessor's Parcel Numper (APN) for the Site;is 203-200-18. e property is approximately <br /> 67a es in size (Plate 1). The county application number is pending. The Site is currently used <br /> fo ow crops and a residence. <br /> The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey Topographic Map, is <br /> between approximately 60 and 65 feet above mean sea level. The land grades up towards the <br /> east. <br /> According tothe San Joaquin County Community , Developm nt Department <br /> (http: www.co.san-joaquin.ca.us), t' 1e subject property is zoned AG-40, general agriculture <br /> with a minimum parcel sizd,of 40 adres.
