KLE/NFELDER
wynrvmpi..ngnexxmo..
leak, which had puddled in an approximate 3-foot diameter area, was noted from the
tank.
Three large ponds are located in the south center of the site (see Photograph 20). The
ponds are approximately 1300 feet long and 125 feet wide each. According to Mr.
Dotinga, the ponds are approximately 30 feet deep. Piping was noted as discharge
points into the ponds and pumps were located adjacent to and in the ponds. Located
between the central and southern pond was an elongated soil pile (see Photograph 21).
The soil appears to be from the ponds. Located southwest of the southern ponds was a
large debris pile (approximately 100 by 45 by 15 feet high) of wood clippings, wood
debris, household trash and furniture (see Photograph 7). A few empty drums were
noted with capacities ranging from 15 to 55-gallons and various empty small quantity
containers of various household and maintenance products (paint, flooring application,
antifreeze, paint, etc.).
The dairy was located in the southeast portion of APN 205-100-16. A majority of the
dairy area consists of corrals and dairy barns. Located along the southeast border of
the site and dairy area are two diesel AST tanks, one located on wood blocks on the
ground, the second in a cradle over bare ground. An irrigation well/pump/generator and
a irrigation pump/generator was associated with these two diesel ASTs (see
Photographs 23 and 24). Soil staining was noted along a cement pad near one of these
two generators (see Photograph 25). Apparent minor staining was noted immediately
by these two ASTs. A large elongated concrete debris pile was located in this area
trending east west (see Photograph 26). A smaller concrete pile, tire pile and large
stockpile were noted in the southwest corner of the main dairy (see Photograph 6). The
large stockpile consisted of manure/solid waste debris apparently from dairy operations.
A former debris pile including miscellaneous metal debris, an empty metal tank was
previously at this location. A residence and several sheds are located in the southeast
corner of the dairy area. Several feed piles and hay storage were noted in the dairy
area.
An apparent wash-down pad and small maintenance area were noted along the eastern
border of the dairy (see Photograph 27). Soil discoloration was also noted in the north-
south trending dirt road on the eastern border of the site (see Photograph 28). A large
generator was noted south of the milk barn. North of the milk barn are three ASTs, two
labeled as diesel and one as gasoline (see Photograph 29). These three AST's were
located in metal cradles over exposed, bare soil. Also located in this area were two
polyvinyl disinfectant tanks, a large water tank, a small mobile poly tank, and a pallet of
bagged lime (see Photographs 29 and 31). Soil staining was observed by the fuel
ASTs and soil discoloration in general was noted north of the milk barn.
95428.E01/ST08R693 July 29,2008
0 2008 Kleinfelder Page 9 of 26
