San
Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division received and reviewed the
Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report dated March 1, 2000, and the Soil Suitability Study dated
April 14, 1999, and both reports have been approved.
The installation of the septic system must be performed under an Environmental Health Division Permit
and inspection, and approved by this Department. A fee of$180.00 must be paid at the time of issuance
of the Septic Permit. The installation of water wells and pumps must also be under permit, inspection,
and approved by this Department, and the fee of$230.00 must be paid at the time of issuance of
Well/Pump Permit(s). Wells are to have a minimum 100-foot grout seal and be installed according to
San Joaquin County Development Title Standards.
The water in the general vicinity has been found to be bacteriologically potable; however, chemical
quality has not been ascertained. There are no state, county or legal regulations that apply to public
drinking water standards of private wells.
The compliance of these 10-acre parcels as it relates to San Joaquin County Development Title has been
completed and accepted to allow septic, well, and pump permits to be issued. Should you have any
questions or need further assistance, please call Mike Huggins, Supervising R.E.H.S., and R.D.I., of my
staff at(209) 468-3437.
Karen Furst, M.D., M.P.H.
Health Officer
Mike Huggins, Supervising R.E.H.S., R.D.I.
Environmental Health Division
MH:cf
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
