KLEINFELDER
r
6. SITE RECONNAISSANCE
L
A representative from Kleinfelder, Jennifer Young, conducted a site reconnaissance on January
22, 1999, to assess and photograph present site conditions. The approximate site boundaries are
shown in Appendix A, Plate 2 "Site Map," and color photographs of the site are presented on
Plate 3. The site conditions discussed below are limited to readily apparent environmental
conditions observed.
The subject site was entirely a rice field, there are no structures present on site. An irrigation
` ditch was present trending east/west along the northern border. No irrigation stand pipes are
evident within the subject site. There was no obvious evidence of prior development (e.g.
foundations or building materials) observed. The site was covered by a low sparse dry grass
growth. Linear soil mounds were noted throughout the subject site. The soil mounds were
apparently used for water containment. There were no visible transformers on the subject site.
Adjacent to the northeast comer of the subject site were two structures, a rural residence and a
warehouse. There was a visible above ground storage tank (AST) on this site. There was
miscellaneous debris scattered throughout this area. Items included abandoned automobiles,
scrap metal, farming equipment, and construction debris. Adjacent near the central southern
border in of the subject site was a residence and a trailer. There was a visible AST in this
location. Adjacent in the northwest comer was a warehouse, approximate size of 100 feet by 50
feet, and a residence. There was an AST present at this site.
` Site observations are further described in Table 8.
L
60
i
20-4280-01.E01/2019R177 Page 16 of 23
Copyright 1999,Kleinfelder,Inc.
