Other requirements may also apply. These requirements cannot be <br /> modified. <br /> A. A soil suitability study shall be submitted to the Environmental Health Department indicating <br /> that the area is suitable for septic system usage. The study must be approved by the <br /> Environmental Health Department prior to issuance of building permit(s)/final occupancy. (San <br /> Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-1105.2 (d)). A review fee of$244 must be paid at <br /> i time of submittal to the Environmental Health Department. <br /> The sewage disposal system shall comply with the on site sewage standards of San Joaquin <br /> County prior to approval. A percolation test that meets absorption rates of the manual of septic <br /> tank practice or E.P.A. Design Manual for onsite wastewater treatment and disposal system is <br /> required for each parcel. A permit fee of$122 per percolation hole is required. <br /> I <br /> B. The existing private water wells shall be tested for the chemical Dibromochioropropane (DBCP) <br /> and nitrates with the results submitted to the Environmental Health Department prior to <br /> issuance of building permit(s)/final occupancy. Samples are to be taken and analyzed by a <br /> State-approved laboratory (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-1115.7). <br /> C. Construction of an individual sewage disposal system(s) under permit and inspection by the <br /> Environmental Health Department is required at the time of development based on the Soil <br /> Suitability/ Nitrate Loading Study findings (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9- <br /> 1110.3 & 9-1110.4). <br /> D. If floor drains are required, they must be plumbed through a sand/oil separator and discharged <br /> to an above ground system approved by the Environmental Health Department. A registered <br /> engineer must design this system. The material collected in the above ground holding system <br /> must be analyzed for hazardous constituents prior to disposal. Specific test requirements may <br /> be obtained from the Environmental Health Department. A$244 plan check fee is required at <br /> the time of submittal. <br />
