L
November 21,2006
NOA Project Number. E06045B
L 6.7 Discussion of Percolation Test Results
The soils within the sewage disposal areas of the parcels have demonstrated a satisfact
percolation rate in accordance with the requirements of the EHD for the use of e Z eered septic
system.
i
6.8 Discussion of Septic System Sizing
Septic System Construction should follow the San Joaquin County On-Site Wastewater Disposal /
Standards where applicable. We recommend a Civil Engineer prepare a septic system design for the
Parcel unless additional percolation testing on the parcel indicates a satisfactory rate is achieved and '
approved by the EHD. Our office has been contracted by the client to prepare an engineered septic
` system design.
L 7.0 CONCLUSIONS
In summary, percolation rates that meet the minimum EHD standards were achieved in the
L proposed septic disposal areas of the site. The parcels appear suitable for the use of an engineered
septic system. We recommend a Civil Engineer prepare a septic system design for the Parcel unless
additional percolation testing on the Parcel indicates a satisfactory rate is achieved and approved by
the EHD. Our office has been contracted by the client to prepare an engineered septic system '
design.
A perched layer of water was encountered at 6.08 feet during the drilling of percolation test holes
on October 26, 2006. The on-site water well was tested for nitrate a CP. DBCP was non-
detectable, and nitrate concentration in ground water was fbt}nd to be '25 g/L-NO3,which is
Lbelow the maximum contaminant drinking water limit f 45 lapgg/IrNO3.
8.0 LIMITATIONS
The conclusions of this report are based on the information provided regarding the existing and
` proposed development, the use of the subject property, and the site conditions as they existed at the
time we excavated our test holes and performed the percolation tests. It was assumed that the test
holes and percolation test results are representative of the subsurface conditions in the general area.
L
9
L '-444
