► i <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION <br /> Water, Drainage, and Flooding: <br /> The entire project is located within the 100 year flood <br /> protection zone. All buildings will be located above the 100 <br /> year flood plain. <br /> Ground water is located at approximately 15 feet below the <br /> soil surface. Potable water is located at approximately 45 feet. <br /> The San Joaquin River borders the property to the east. The <br /> project plans are to reinforce and protect the levee to prevent <br /> erosion and lateral migration of the San Joaquin River. <br /> Land, Land Use, and Biota: <br /> The topography is comprised of gentle sloping and undulating <br /> land forms with the soil being comprised of alluvial sands. <br /> No agricultural land will be lost as a result of the <br /> project. <br /> Wildlife habitat is comprised of dense stands of riparian <br /> vegetation representative of typical San Joaquin Valley riverine <br /> habitats. Optimal habitats are located nearest the existing lake <br /> and in close proximity to the San Joaquin River to the North and <br /> South. Wildlife species include: striped skunk; opossum; coyote; <br /> grey squirrel; grey fox; ground squirrels; red-tailed hawks; <br /> black shouldered kite; northern harrier, swainson hawk; numerous <br /> songbirds; barn owl; California quail; Chinese ring-necked <br /> pheasant; various waterfowl species; great blue heron; green <br /> heron; great egret; bittern; bullfrog; western pond turtle; <br /> garter snake, California king snake, western fence lizard, and <br /> similar species. <br /> Vegetation type and extent include the following: <br /> Tree species are located on approximately 18 acres (30% <br /> of property) and comprise the following species - <br /> Goodings willow, Fremont cottonwood, and valley oak. <br /> shrub species are located on approximately 18 acres <br /> (30% of property) and comprise the following species - <br /> Sandbar willow, Wild rose, California blackberry, <br /> Snowberry, Buttonbrush, Blue elderberry, and Mugwort. <br /> Grass and Ground Cover species are located on <br /> approximately 18 acres (30% of property) and comprise <br /> the following species - Golden rod, Mustard, Bermuda <br /> grass, Wild oats, Creeping wild rye, and Shasta daisy. <br />
