M OF CAUFORWA—THE RESOURCES AVCY METE WILSON,Governor
RECLAMATION BOARD
-4h Stitt.boom 4668 '
Aft CA X614.6594
dS3-5434 FAX.(916)653.68Q5
OCT 0 .4 1993
rz
OCT 5 X993 F
County of San Joaquin RAMM MICN
Co=mmity Development Department
Development Services Division
1810 East Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, California 95205
Attention: Mr. Chandler Martin
We have reviewed the Application Referral for John Eagal's
Use Permit No. 93-14 (Preapplication) to construct a marina and
an outdoor sports club, and restore and modify an existing lake
located on the north side of the San Joaquin River, 1/2 mile
south of the eastern terminous of Lorentzen Road, east of Tracy,
and we have the following comments:
The project is located in or adjacent to the San Joaquin
River floodway and left bank project levee over which The
Reclamation Board has jurisdiction. Therefore, the project
proponent should be notified that a Reclamation Board permit must
be obtained prior to start of any work within the San Joaquin
River project floodway, levees, and within 10 feet landward of
the landside levee toes, as required by Section 8710 of the
California water Code.
The project proponent should also be notified that the Board
does not generally permit structures within 30 feet landward from
the top of the riverbanks, nor any work within the levees and
floodway during the flood season from November 1 to April 15 .
For further information, you may wish to contact Carol
Redondo at the above address or telephone (916) 653-9898 .
Sincerely,
Donald L. son, Chief
Floodway Protection Section
