Hazelton Ave. OLANNING DIVISION
Stockton, CA 95205
Dear Chandler Martin,
On behalf of the Escalon Unified School District I am responding to Application MS-93-117
of Monty Vander Beek.
Project Description: A minor subdivision application to subdivide a 46.93-acre parcel into two
parts. Parcel 1 is to contain 10.0 acres, and Parcel l is to contain 36.98 acres.
Project Location: The project site is located on the south side of Louise Avenue, 1300 feet east
of Wagner Road, east of Manteca. (Supervisorial District 5).
Currently the Escalon Unified School District is above capacity and continues to add portable
classrooms to accommodate students. Each additional potential homesite may have the capability
of generating$1.65 per square foot of developer fees however this amount only equates to
approximately 32% of the cost to house our students. Therefore each potential homesite within the
Escalon Unified School District boundaries continues to add to its facility problem.
Based on the abovementioned information the Escalon Unified School District opposes this
application unless our cost to house additional students is fully mitigated
If I can be of further assistance please contact me.
Sincerely,
Vern Medeiros
Assistant Superintendent
jh
