•• .o Z <br /> PART II <br /> H. STREET AND ROAD DESIGN <br /> 1. Geometric Section. The geometric section shall conform to <br /> Improvement Stan and Drawings . Where a subdivision or <br /> any part thereof lies along an existing improved public highway <br /> or road, the developer shall improve or agree to improve the area <br /> of such highway or. road lying between the surfaced portion thereof <br /> and the curbs or gutters constructed by the subdivider in accord- <br /> ance with the Improvement Standard Drawings . <br /> 2 . Profile . A vertical curve shall be provided when the grade <br /> differential is greater than 0 . 50%. The cross slope of the street <br /> shall be as shown on Improvement Standard Drawings . Concrete curb <br /> and gutter shall have a minimum grade of 0 . 25%. All elevations <br /> should be based on U.S .G.S . or City of Stockton datum. <br /> 3. Structural Section . The minimum design of the structural section <br /> shall conform to the Structural Pavement Design Chart of the Improve- <br /> ment Standard Drawings . The Resistance Value (R-Value) of the base- <br /> ment soil samples taken at the proposed construction site shall be <br /> determined by Test Method No. 301 of the current Materials Manual of <br /> the State of California Department of Transportation. <br /> The Traffic Indexes (T.I . ) shall be determined by the following <br /> street categories unless otherwise specified by Public Works Department. <br /> T. <br /> Cul-de-sac of 12 or fewer lots 3 . 5 <br /> Cul-de-sac of 13 or more lots 4 .0 <br /> Local Street 4 .0 <br /> Minor Collector Street 5 .0 <br /> Major Collector Street 6 .0 <br /> Industrial Street 8 .0 <br /> Any street that could be regarded as being in more than one category <br /> shall be classified in the category with the highest Traffic Index. <br /> The minimum structural section shall be two inches of asphalt concrete <br /> over prime coat and native material which has been treated with <br /> a soil sterilant. <br /> IIS-1 <br />
