.,,4 <br /> ENGINEERING FABRICS <br /> SECTION 88 <br /> ENGINEERING FABRICS <br /> 88-1.01 Description.—Engineering fabrics consisting of pavement <br /> reinforcing fabric and filter fabric shall conform to the requirements in <br /> this Section 88, "Engineering Fabrics." <br /> Engineering fabrics shall be placed in accordance with the various sec- <br /> tions of these specifications requiring the use of an engineering fabric or <br /> as specified in the special provisions. <br /> A Certificate of Compliance for each kind of engineering fabric used on <br /> the project shall be furnished to the Engineer in accordance, with the <br /> provisions in Section 6-1.07, "Certificates of Compliance." <br /> Engineering fabrics shall be furnished in protective covers capable of <br /> protecting the fabric from ultraviolet rays, abrasion, and water. <br /> 88-1.02 Pavement Reinforcing Fabric.—Pavement reinforcing fabric <br /> shall be manufactured from polyester, polypropylene, or polypropylene- <br /> nylon material.
