The testing was
conducted in accordance with the Environmental Health Department' s
percolation test procedures.
The percolation test holes were drilled using an eight-inch O.D.
solid stem auger to depths of approximately five feet for the
shallow test boring and nine feet for the deep test boring. Test
hole sidewalls were scarified and sleeved with four-inch O.D.
perforated pipe to prevent cave-ins and insure test hole integrity.
Gravel was added to the hole bottom and placed in the annular space
between the perforated pipe and the bore hole. The test borings
were pre-saturated 24 hrs before percolation testing, which
commenced on April 6, 1992 .
Please find attached the "Field Percolation Testing Report" that
includes test boring locations, percolation rates and recommended
sewage disposal areas. As the test results indicate, the deep test
boring, as tested, is conducive to percolation of sewage effluent.
Since the shallow test hole had a very slow rate of percolation,
any septic system installed in the area of the percolation test
borings would have to be constructed with seepage pits.
Respectfully submitted,
Ir
CON OL INSPECTION, INC.
y, P.E.
Our reports and letters are submitted as the confidential property of our clients for their exclusive use.Any publication or reproduction of statements, conclusions or extracts from or
regarding our reports or letters is reserved, contingent upon the written authorization of Quality Control Inspection,Inc.
