ATTENTION: Mr, Richard Larrouy
TO: San Joaquin County
Community Development Department
FROM: Bear Creek Community Church
RE: Property West side of Lower Sacramento Road
1800 ft. North of Eight Mile Road
SUBJECT: Request for ceremony Sept. 3,1995
The Bear Creek Community Church requests permission to hold a ground breaking ceremony at
said site. The objective is to have a short service and Bar-B-Q to commemorate the progress
toward paying off our property, to thank the congregation for support, symbolic ground breaking
of our next phase of development and to kick off our new funds drive.
This event will be from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM on Sept. 3, 1995. We will provide sanitation
facilities and whatever traffic control is deemed necessary. The property has direct access off
Lower Sacramento Drive across a graveled culvert onto a graveled agricultural drive. Parking is
onsite on a well compacted field which has been cleared of weeds and debris.
No structures are necessary as the stage/platform is an open storage trailer and seating is on lawn
chairs. Considering the holiday weekend we anticipate a smaller than usual gathering of between
200 and 225 people, approximately 75 cars.
This event is not a frequent occurrence and we understand the needs for public safety and the
permit process. It is our belief that this is not like a Christmas Tree Lot, rather like a one day
"revival meeting" and we ask for your consideration under the appropriate permit process. Please
note that to properly notify the congregation we would need approval by Friday, August 25th.
Thank you for your assistance.
Sincerely,
1
A UG 18 1995 4441
:-flan Friis COMMUNITY DEVELw mEN f DEPT.
Applicant Representative PLANNING DIVISION
