Hazelton Ave.,
Stockton, CA
To Whom It May Concern:
Reference: Proposed Islamic center in southwest Lodi
I am a resident of Lower Sacramento Road and I am concerned with the amount
of traffic this Islamic center will bring. According to the article in the Lodi News
Sentinel, date April 14, 2009, not only will this be a learning center, basketball
courts, but offer pray 5 times a day! This sounds like a lot of coming and going.
of cars.
I do not feel that Lower Sacramento Road can handle an increase in traffic. Only
a very small portion of Lower Sacramento Road is over two lanes and at this
location there is no turn lane and this could be a potential area for car accidents.
Also keep in mind the numerous other churches already along Lower Sacramento
Road and that the City of Lodi is in the process of deciding on a Super Wal-mark,
which would located on Lower Sacramento Road, not even one mile away.
Adding more traffic to a road that already is inadequate for the amount of traffic
it has on a daily basis is a bad decision.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Paoletti
12373 Lower Sacramento Road
Lodi, CA 95242
209.329.2147
