District personnel are 100% volunteer. Forest
Lake Fire District has an annual budget of under 60,000
dollars, no major increase of revenues is seen in the near
future.
Structural fire suppression is based on delivery of a
continuous supply of water, individual wells for domestic
use does not supply water adequate for structural fire
suppressions, and lower ISO insurance rates. The Forest
Lake Fire Protection District recommends a central water
system. The system not only would supply adequate
firefighting water but could be coordinated with future
developments to the north along Liberty Road.
A major thru road connecting 99 Frontage and Lower
Sacramento Road is of major concern. Historically
the Fire District has responded to injury accidents along
Lower Sacramento Road. The District recommends a signal or
warning device be installed.
2432 E.
