A qualified environmental professional shall prepare a surface and subsurface contamination <br /> report, identifying any potential source of surface or subsurface contamination caused by past <br /> or current land uses. The report shall include evaluation of non-point source of hazardous <br /> materials,including agricultural chemical residues, as well as potential point sources, such as <br /> fuel storage tanks, septic systems, or chemical storage areas. If the report indicates there is <br /> contamination,corrective action shall be taken,as recommended in the report and concurred <br /> with by Environmental Health prior to submittal of tentative map(San Joaquin County <br /> Development Title, Section 9-905.12(a)(c)). <br /> NOTE: A SurfacetSubsurface Contamination Report dated April 2006 and addendum <br /> dated May 2006,were reviewed by the Environmental Health Department. An <br /> additional addendum addressing outstanding issues shall be submitted to and approved <br /> by the Environmental Health Department before the report can be given final approval. <br /> B. Environmental Health Department requires a Soil Suitability/Nitrate Loading Study <br /> indicating that the area is suitable for septic tank usage. This must be performed prior to <br /> recordation of parcel/final map(San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9- <br /> 1105.2(d)), A Nitrate Loading Study is required, and a review fee of$465.00 must be paid at <br /> time of submittal to Environmental Health Department. <br /> The sewage disposal system shall comply with the on site sewage standards of San Joaquin <br /> County prior to approval. A percolation test that meets absorption rates of the manual of <br /> septic tank practice or_E.P.A. Design Manual for onsite wastewater treatment and disposal <br /> system is required for each parcel. A permit fee of$93.00 per percolation hole is required. <br /> NOTE: If percolation tests fail,then additional percolation tests are to be conducted <br /> in areas of proposed engineer-desi ned septic systems.
