1 <br /> i <br /> and Cogna Loam as stated in the Soil Survey of San Joaquin County, as provided by the United States <br /> Department of Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service. <br /> 5.4 Discussion of Soil Lithology as Related to Future On-site Septic Uses: The soil classified <br /> as Cogna Loam in this area has a permeability that is moderate. The soil classified as Archerdale <br /> Clay Loam has a permeability that is slow. The percolation rate, as tested for this report, was <br /> 50 min/in (See Appendix). <br /> 6.0 PERCOLATION TEST INFORMATION SECTION <br /> 6.1 Site map showing the location,with concise and accurate dimensions of the <br /> percolation test holes on the parcel: See Appendix. <br /> i 6.2 The minimum number of shallow and deep percolation tests were performed for <br /> each parcel: One shallow percolation test hole was prepared. <br /> 6.3 Description of the date, time and protocol used to prepare the test hole, including <br /> I <br /> depth and dimensions of hole, preparation of hole, and depth of water used to presoak <br /> (minimum 12 inches): The shallow test hole was excavated to a depth of 42 inches and <br /> 12 inches in diameter and backfilled with 2 inches of"pea gravel" in accordance with County <br /> Standards. The shallow hole was prepared by the owner, John Dondero on April 18, 2011, <br /> at 7:00 a.m. The shallow hole preparation was witnessed by Mike Toy of Dillon&Murphy. <br /> On April 18, 2011 at 7:30 a.m. the 24 hour presoak period was started. The hole was filled with 12 <br /> inches of water over the gravel at this time. <br /> 6.4 Description of the Date,Time and Condition of the Test Hole After the 24-Hour <br /> � Soak Period (Hole Still Intact, Hole Dry,Depth to Water Remaining in Hole, Etc.):. �. <br /> On April 19, 2011 at 8:00 a.m. the shallow test hole was dry. Six inches of water <br /> was added to the hole and the hole was deemed suitable to continue. The shallow test passed <br /> the minimum County requirements. <br /> 6.5 The Test Conformed to San Joaquin County Policy EHD 02-02 (Correct Depth, diameter, <br /> 2" gravel, 6" water Refill, Correct Readings Recorded): The percolation test conformed <br /> to San Joaquin County Policy EHD 02-02. <br /> 6.6 Complete Percolation Test Form (Including Readings) Was Provided With REHS <br /> Verification Signature. The Rate Was Correctly Calculated Using the Last Reading: See <br /> Appendix for Test Results Form. <br /> Shallow Tests <br /> TEST HOLE PERCOLATION RATE <br /> 1 (Parcel 1) 50 min./in. <br /> *See Results in Appendix. <br /> 3 <br /> f <br />
