I. INTRODUCTION
Dillon & Murphy was retained by )3obert Dondero to perform a Soil
Suitability Study for the property located at 1807 Murray Road, Linden, CA. The
subject parcel number is APN 105-060-09. The purpose of the study is to
determine the suitability of the property for septic tank usage as required by the
County. The study was performed according to the requirements of Section
10100 of San Joaquin County Development Code.
II. PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT
The property is currently zoned AG-40. The Solari property consists of a
160 acre parcel (see appendix for map). It is proposed to divide two 80 acre
parcels from the existing 160 acre property. There is an existing shop on Parcel.
The proposed division is being done as a Minor Subdivision to create 2 new
parcels.
III. PRESENT AND PAST USE OF THE SITE
Presently, Parcel 1 has a storage shed and row crops. Parcel 2 has
row crops. Both parcels have agricultural wells.
IV. EXISTING AND PROPOSED SEPTIC TANK USAGE
Parcels 1 and 2 will require a septic system when they are developed. I
have no knowledge of septic system failure on the property. There are no
immediate plans to build houses on either parcel.
V. GROUND WATER AND DEPTH TESTING
According to the map of "Lines of Equal Depth of Water Wells" published
Fall, 1999, by the San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conversation
District, the depth to groundwater at this location is approximately 110 feet. (see
appendix)
VI. SOIL PROFILE AND PERCOLATION TESTS
Two test holes were excavated to depths of 3.5 feet in the areas of the
homesites. The purpose of the test holes was to determine percolation rates in
these areas. For approximate locations of the test holes, see the Tentative Parcel
Map in the Appendix. The holes were prepared in accordance with County
Standards.
1
CA0241\MURRY RD SOILS REPORT 071902
