.. .: INTRODUCTION The purpose of this project is to divide a 160 acre parcel into two 80 acre parcels. In accordance with the San Joaquin County Development Title, this Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report (SSCR) is being submitted for application with the tentative map. This report will investigate the property for visual or historical environmental contamination based on field observation and testimony from the owners. No chemical analysis is proposed as part of this report. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The project consists of one parcel located at 1807 N. Murray Road, Linden. The project is in a farming area and is surrounded by agricultural and rural residential land. It is zoned AG 40. The site has no homesites. See the Tentative Map included in the Appendix. PROJECT HISTORY The primary source of information on the historical use of the property is testimony .. from the owners and County records. The current owners have leased the property to John Fugazi for many years. He has historically raised row crops. This property and the adjacent properties have been used in the same manner since the current owners have owned the property. A review of County records (San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner's Office and the San Joaquin County Contaminated Site List) did not yield any contamination concerns. The property owners also stated that there have been no groundwater concerns during their ownership. There is no record of underground fuel tank storage and the property owners are not aware of any such tank. FIELD INVESTIGATION The following information was obtained during a field investigation of the site as well as interviewing the property owner. There is not a septic system on site. There are two agricultural wells. There are no plans for homes to be built. According to the owner, there are no buried tanks on the property. There are not visual signs of any such tanks (ground settling, irregular ground, etc.) 1
