5.3 Description of soil lithology as noted from test pit by appropriate professional using industry j <br /> standard protocol: The soil in this area is classified as Archerdale,clay to as stated in the Soil <br /> Survey of San Joaquin County, California as provided by the United Stated Department of Agriculture, <br /> Soil Conservation Service. <br /> 5.4 Discussion of soil lithology as related to future onsite septic uses: The Archerdale clay loam <br /> have slow permeability thus, percolation rates were 24 min/in, 9 min/in and 12 min/in. <br /> (See Appendix). <br /> 6.0 PERCOLATION TEST INFORMATION SECTION: <br /> ` 6.1 Site Map Showing the location,with concise and accurate dimensions of the percolation test j <br /> holes on the parcel: (See Appendix). <br /> ` 6.2 The Minimum Number of Shallow and Deep Percolation Tests was Performed for <br /> Parcel: Four shallow percolation test holes were prepared, one on each proposed parcel. Two <br /> percolation holes results were used from SR 0030537, to complete six total holes. <br /> 6.3 Description of the Date, Time and Protocol Used to Prepare the Test Hole, Including Depth <br /> and Dimensions of Hole, Preparation of Hole, and Depth of Water Used to Presoak(Minimum 12 <br /> Inches): The shallow test holes were excavated to a depth of 42 inches and 8 inches in diameter and <br /> backfilled with 2 inches of"pea gravel" in accordance with County Standards. The shallow holes were <br /> prepared by Shaun Mackey of Dillon &Murphy on June 1, 2006 at 6:00 a.m. On June 1, 2006 at <br /> 7:30 a.m. the 24 hour presoak period was started. The holes were filled with 12 inches of water over <br /> the gravel and at this time. Environmental Health Department was notified of when the percolation test <br /> were being conducted. <br /> 6.4 Description of the Date, Time and Condition of the Test Hole After the 24-Hour Soak Period <br /> (Hole Still Intact, Hole Dry, Depth to Water Remaining in �ol` Etc.): On <br /> June 1, 2006 at 7:30 a.m. the four shallow test holes were dry. Six 'nches of water was added to the <br /> hope and the holes were deemed suitable to continue. All fourof the shallow tests passed the minimum <br /> County requirements. <br /> 6.5 The Test Conformed to San Joaquin County Policy EHD 02-02 (Correct Depth, diameter, 2" <br /> gravel, 6" Water Refill, Correct Readings Recorded): The percolation tests conformed to Sanj <br /> Joaquin County Policy EHD 02-02. <br /> 3 <br /> c:\0578\Soil Report <br />
