In addition, consideration should be given to mitigation
measures such as acceleration and deceleration lanes, turn pockets, etc. Because of the
lack of details in information and/or clarity of Location Site Map on this proposed Project
the Department is unable to make a thorough/adequate assessment. More information
regarding our Study requirements can be obtained through our web site at
www.dot.ca.gov/hq/traffops/developsery/operationaIsystems/ reports/tisguide.pdf.
An Encroachment Permit will need to be obtained from the Department to access and/or
construct within any state right-of-way. There maybe egress and ingress issues that will
need to be addressed concerning traffic flow along SR 120. In addition, the existing
driveway may need to be upgraded to commercial standards. A complete environmental
assessment and/or document addressing impacts and mitigation measures on state right-
of-way will need to be submitted with the Permit Application. More information
regarding Permit requirements can be obtained through our web site at www.dot.ca.gov.
We suggest that the County continue to coordinate and consult with the Department to
identify and address potential cumulative transportation impacts that may occur from this
Project and other developments near this geographical location, so that they 'do not
conflict with our future transportation corridor improvement plans. This will assist us in
'Culuu s improves mobility across California"
