Mueiler: <br /> There is a 50 foot wide strip of land located within the propo_ed lot line adjustment area which <br /> may belong, to the South San Joaquin Irrigation District in fee. Recently, we received a request <br /> from Mike Quartaroli, on behalf of the property owner, to purchase this strip from the District so <br /> that they could proceed with the lot line adjustment. A letter«-as sent informing the owner of the � <br /> District's position concemine the request. No further correspondence was received until receipt <br /> of this lot lin,- adjustment referral. Enclosed are copies of correspondence relative to the matter <br /> for your reference. <br /> Subsequently. I discussed this matter with 1\1ike Quartaroli. who is representing the owner, and <br /> he informed me that the title company has determined that wo have an easement and not a fee. <br /> Unless we receive written confirmation and supporting evidence to that effect, we must still take <br /> the position that the District may have a fee interest in the property. Therefore, we are requesting <br /> that approval of the lot line adjustment be predicated upon proof of ownership of that portion of <br /> property that«"as believed to belong to the District. <br /> Additionally; the South San Joaquin Irrigation District o1,tns, operates and maintains irrigation ' <br /> and/or drainage facilities which may provide service to the property described in the subject <br /> application. <br /> i <br /> P.
