See attached diagram. <br /> - Prior to the issuance of an Encroachment Permit, right-of-way will need to be <br /> dedicated to the State of California. The right-of-way shall be 100 feet north of <br /> the railroad. Please refer to the attached copy of the "Procedures for Property <br /> Dedication to Caltrans". <br /> - Left turn channelization will be required by Caltrans at the identified access <br /> locations. <br /> To expedite the review of the encroachment permit by Caltrans, the proponent should <br /> evaluate potential environmental impacts within the State right of way. The right of way that <br /> may be impacted should be included within the area studied for the local lead agency environmental <br /> review. Caltrans has asked for cultural resource, biological resource and hazardous waste <br /> investigations when these issues have not been adequately addressed for our right of way by the lead <br /> agency review. The lead agency should review the need for those and other studies with the <br /> applicant and provide Caltrans with either; 1) appropriate studies done by qualified professional <br /> staff; or 2) the estimate for their CEQA determination that these studies are not of concern in <br /> State right of way. <br />
