PROCEDURES FOR PROPERTY DEDICATION TO <br /> CALTRANS <br /> 1. Provide a copy of the vesting document(s) and Title Report (or <br /> Title Guarantee or Subdivision Guarantee) , showing ownership, <br /> and copies of any documents or recorded maps referred to in <br /> the vesting document. In cases where no maps are referred to <br /> in the vesting document, we need copies of any available <br /> Parcel Map, Record of Survey Map, or other maps of record <br /> covering the property from which the dedication is to be made. <br /> 2 . Provide copies of documents and recorded maps cited in any of <br /> the other documents submitted. <br /> 3 . A legal description (tied to a monumented line) of the area to <br /> be dedicated, is prepared by the property owner's Consulting <br /> Engineer or Licensed Land Surveyor, using recorded Parcel Maps <br /> or Record of Survey Maps if available, and submitted to the <br /> Caltrans Right of Way Engineering Department for review. <br /> 4 . Provide a hazardous waste document showing clearance of such <br /> waste on the dedicated parcel, or indemnyifing the State of <br /> California of responsibilty for any waste. <br /> 5 . The legal description is checked. If revisions are necessary, <br /> the legal is revised by the author and returned to Caltrans. <br /> Then the legal description is placed on a Caltrans Deed form, <br /> and returned to the property owner' s Consulting Engineer or <br /> Licensed Land Surveyor, who obtains the required signature(s) * <br /> and proper notorization. The signed and notorized Deed is then <br /> returned to Caltrans. The deed will then be processed for <br /> signature by the District Division Chief of Right of Way and <br /> recording by Caltrans. <br /> 6 . An encroachment permit will not be issued until the deed has <br /> been recorded and a copy of the recorded deed sent back to the <br /> address below. <br /> * After obtaining signature (s) and having it notarized <br /> please send back to Caltrans at this address: <br /> MICHAEL J.
