As discussed,on September <br /> 24,2003,Abby Racco visited the Site for the field investigation portion of the Surface-Subsurface <br /> Contamination Report. During that visit, she observed that the agricultural ponds on the Site had been <br /> scraped,and manure was mounded and spread on the surrounding land. The attached figures were taken <br /> that day. <br /> We spoke to Henry Van de Pol on January 13,2005,at which time he indicated that the manure was hauled <br /> off-site onto his neighbor's property. The fill soil used to backfill the ponds was generated from within the <br /> 10-acre Site,he stated. <br /> You may rely on this letter to document that the manure was removed from the ponds prior to backfilling <br /> and compaction.
