Future development plans for the property involve the construction
of a golf coarse and driving range.
The scope of the original report was limited to defining the"general"extent and quality of
potential mineral deposits and was not intended or should not be used for developing a specific
mineral extraction plan. The scope ofthe investigation included performing four(4)exploratory soil
borings to a depth of 49 feet, logging and classifying the soil profile, and performing various
laboratory tests on grab samples obtained from the bore holes. The field work was performed August
13 and 14, 1996.
The scope of this updated report is to revise the original report to include a section on
geology and ground water conditions of the site. This report presents the results of our investigation.
GENERAL SITE CONDITIONS
The subject property, consists of an'irregular shaped 162 acre parcel. A-majority of the
property lies within Mineral Res ource Zone 2,as desigiated'bythe. tate:•The property is currently
functioning as an almond orchard.
Examination of a geologic map of the area indicates the surficial deposits at the subject site
are Holocene age(0 to 11,000 year old)undivided alluvial-flood plain deposits that consist of sand,
silt, and clay. A contact between the Holocene age deposits (west) and the older Pleistocene age
(11,000 to 1.7-2.2 million years) Modesto Formation deposits (east) exists through the site. The
