J <br /> Analysis <br /> Background <br /> On August 18, 1995, the Planning Commission approved Use Permit No. UP-95-10 for a facility to <br /> manufacture medical equipment. The facility has since been in continuous operation. The facility currently <br /> includes a 30,360-square-foot shop building, a 5,440-square-foot two-story building for administrative <br /> offices,and 81 existing parking spaces. <br /> General Plan&Zoning <br /> The Development Title permits an existing use to expand up to 25 percent of the original floor area without <br /> requiring a Use Permit. The proposed expansion, however, does exceed 25 percent and, therefore, <br /> requires a new Use Permit. <br /> The proposed expansion will not change the existing operation of the facility and will not require any <br /> additional parking spaces. <br /> The proposed use is a permitted use in the I-W(Industrial—Warehouse)zone with an approved Use Permit <br /> and is consistent with the I/L (Limited Industrial) General Plan designation and the regulations contained in <br /> the Development Title. <br /> San Joaquin County UP-01-2\Hall <br /> Community Development Page 3 <br />
