Cotta Property Page 3 of 12 <br /> Our Project Number: LES080021 <br /> March 28, 2008 <br /> appears to be replaced by row crops near the western portion of the property. The structure <br /> and orchard located at the center of the previous photo are no longer evident. <br /> In the 1963 photo, the property appears similar to the previous photo. <br /> In the 1975 photo, the property appears similar to the previous photo with the exception of the <br /> irrigation channels. The canals which cut through the property at diagonal angles in the <br /> previous photos appear to be replaced by agricultural crops. Additionally the structure located <br /> at the northeast end of the canal at the center of the property appears to have been removed. <br /> In the 1993 photo, the property appears to be used for agricultural purposes. The diagonal <br /> canals evident in the previous photos are no longer apparent. Structures are apparent near the <br /> southwest portion of the property. <br /> These photos are included in Appendix C of this report. NOA's ability to interpret the land <br /> uses is limited by the scale and quality of the photos. <br /> 2.3 USGS Topographic Maps <br /> The topographic quadrangle depicting the subject property is the U.S. Geological Survey, <br /> Thornton, California, quadrangle map. One 7.5-minute map dated 1993, was obtained from <br /> Microsoft Terraserver. <br /> In the 1993 map, the subject property is depicted as open land. Canals traverse the property <br /> and a waterway is depicted along the western boundary. The property is depicted at <br /> approximately zero to five feet above mean sea level. Surrounding properties are depicted in a <br /> similar fashion. Beaver Slough and a levee road are indicated north of the property. Roadways <br /> border the property on the south and west sides. Property to the east is depicted as open land <br /> with canals. <br /> This map is included in Appendix C of this report. <br /> 2.4 Interviews <br /> An attempt was made to obtain historical as well as current information relative to the subject <br /> property from the property owner or key site manager of the property. An Environmental <br /> Questionnaire and Disclosure Statement were completed by Mr. Joe Cotta, owner of the subject <br /> property, on March 7, 2008. A copy of the responses has been included in this report as <br /> Appendix D. <br /> In responses to the questionnaire, Mr. Cotta indicated that the property is used for agriculture <br /> and will continue to be used for agriculture. He also indicated James A. Cotta Vineyards, Tony <br /> Simoes Dairy and Kenny Luis are businesses using the property. Mr. Cotta indicated that the <br /> property and adjacent properties have not been used as a gasoline station or motor repair <br /> facility. He is not aware of any environmental liens placed on the property or has knowledge of <br /> past or current hazardous subtances on the property.
