10 June 2014
AGE Project No. 14-3035
3.1. EXISTING ON-SITE SEPTIC TANK USAGE
The system servicing the existing residential structure (septic system) includes a septic
tank and two leach lines discharging into four separate seepage pits. The exact
specification of the original leach lines is known as a permit was required, when the
system was installed. The system is reportedly for a four bedroom structure capacity.
The residential septic system (north system - currently inactive) is has been permitted to
accommodate a portion of the proposed winery. The north septic system includes a
2,000-gallon septic tank and two 60-feet leech lines discharging into four separate, 36-
inch diameter by 25-feet deep seepage pits.
3.2. SITE SEPTIC PERMIT HISTORY
The permits on record at EHD for the address 6535 East Peltier Road, Acampo,
California, indicated that in 2005 the system was installed as depicted. Prior to 2005, an
original 1920's septic system was utilized on the property. The exact specifications of
original leach lines are unknown at this time due to the lack of permits required when
the system was installed. However, the first system was removed in 2005.
3.3. ON-SITE SEPTIC TANK REPAIR HISTORY
As referenced above, the permits on record at SJCEHD indicate in 2005 that an
additional leach lines and the system disposing into a 36-inch wide by 25-feet deep
seepage pit was originated. No repairs have been conducted since 2005.
3.4. EXISTING SEPTIC TANK USAGE IN THE GENERAL AREA
Neighboring properties are also primarily agricultural-zone land. The adjoining property
to the west has two separate single family houses. The adjoining property to the east
has a one single-family house. The property to the south across Peltier Road has a
separate single-family house and an agricultural-related buildings and likely a separate
septic.
3.5. GENERAL AREA SEPTIC PERMIT HISTORY
The following is a summary of information based on new system installation permits
currently on file with EHD. The permit history of neighboring properties indicated the
potential of GOOD leaching that could lead to septic system failure. Additional leaching
capacity was required to be installed in some of the properties researched. This may
have been due to smaller septic systems installed prior to current San Joaquin County
septic codes.
Advanced GcoEnNiron mental,Inc.
