Pursuant to the State <br /> Aeronautics Act (Public Utilities Code Section 21676), the project is subject to a Consistency <br /> Determination by the San Joaquin County ALUC. This project includes a Site Approval application for <br /> the expansion of an existing seed and research facility. The project is located on the north side of Peltier <br /> Road and west of Dustin Road in the County of San Joaquin(APN 005-260-41). <br /> The land uses proposed with the expansion are compatible with the 2009 ALUCP Zones for Lodi <br /> Airport. <br /> The project is subject to comply with all relevant ALUC Conditions: <br /> 1. New land uses that may cause visual, electronic, or increased bird strike hazards to aircraft in <br /> flight shall not be permitted within any airport's influence area. Specific characteristics to be avoided <br /> include: <br /> • Glare or distracting lights which could be mistaken for airport lights. Reflective materials are <br /> not permitted to be used in structures or signs (excluding traffic directing signs); <br /> • Sources of dust, steam, or smoke which may impair pilot visibility; <br /> • Sources of electrical interference with aircraft communications or navigation. No transmissions <br /> which would interfere with aircraft radio communications or navigational signals are permitted. <br /> • Any proposed use, especially landfills and certain agricultural uses, that creates an increased <br /> attraction for large flocks of birds. <br />
