n
September 30,2007
NOA Project Number. F-07146A
k-1.6 Septic System Repair Permit History in the Vicinity
J The septic system repair permits in the vicinity appear to be for the addition of leach lines and
n seepage pits.
' J ✓3.7 Expected On-Site Maximum Septic Tank Usage
r
Maximum expected usage for the proposed development will be for a wine tasting room which is
expected to have a maximum of approximately 10 customers per day, 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm, five
y days per week. There will be two employees. Septic system design should be based on the On-Site
1 Wastewater Disposal Standards or other engineering recommendations.
4.0 GROUND WATER INFORMATION
A4.1 Ground Water Depth and Gradient
The San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District(1998 and 1999) ground
q water depth and elevation maps were reviewed to determine the ground water levels near the site.
I , The Fall 1998 and Spring 1999 maps are the most current official maps available from the County.
According to these maps (Plates 3-6),ground water lies between 70 and 85 feet below ground
surface and flows at a gradient of about 10 feet per mile to the northwest in the vicinity of the site.
R4.2 Potential Ground Water Contamination Issues
I l Identifying potential ground-water contamination sources was not part of the scope of work for the
soil suitability study. Potential ground-water contamination can occur from a number of sources
which often include leaky underground storage tanks, agricultural activities, dairies, septic systems,
and storm water infiltration. Agricultural activities, dairies and the use of septic systems in the area
should be considered potential ground-water contamination sources.
4.3 Water Sample Location
According to the owner, one well exists on the site. No well permit was found for the well.A water
sample was taken from the well head of the domestic well by Mr.Jessen Welch of our office on
September 4, 2007.
—4.4 Water Sample Constituents
The water sample was analyzed for nitrate and DBCP. Nitrate was found a 7%L!NO3 below
the.maximum contaminant level (MCL) set by the US EPA of 45 mg/L-NO3.JbBC-P.ww s not?
vbo 'I the well water sample. The analytical reports prepared by FGL Environmental can
be'found in the appendix of this report.
4
Fl
F3
