Soil Suitability Study (MS-92-188 , Parcel Nos . 1 and 2 ) 3
"Field Percolation Data Sheet " .
These septic systems were installed between June 26 , 1970 and
April 12 , 1989 .
Existing Land Use:
A small portion of the 20 acre parcel involved in this Soil
Suitability Study is devoted to a homesite and barn situate in the
southwest corner of Parcel No . 2 and is addressed at 7719 East
Peltier Road, Acampo, California 95220 as shown on the attached
"Parcel Map" . The rest of the land surrounding the homesite and
barn to the north, east and south is devoted to agricultural use
and is presently planted in alfalfa.
Soil Profile Test :
No water was encountered in excavating the Percolation and
Soil Profile Test Holes to a maximum depth of ten ( 10) feet . See
the attached "Field Percolation Data Sheet" and "Parcel Map" as
well as the text of this report for the specific soil layer ,
character , and location details . The San Joaquin County Flood
Control And Water Conservation Map entitled "Lines Of Equal Depth
To Water Wells" dated Fall , 1990 shows the water to be in excess of
1.00 feet below the ground surface .
Excavation to a maximum depth of ten ( 10) feet below the
ground surface was performed for the Soil Profile investigation on
Parcel No . 2 , at the location shown on the attached "Parcel Map" .
The nature of the soil encountered in excavating to the 10-foot
depth is noted on the "Soil Profile" on the "Field Percolation Data
Sheet' as reddish-brown sandy loam throughout the ten-foot depth
below the ground surface . For the first 6 1/2 feet below the ground
surface was found to be rather loose but below 6 1/2 feet to 10
feet below the ground surface , the soil was noted to be dense and
hard .
Percolation Tests :
Two ( 2 ) percolation test holes , one ( 1 ) on Parcel No . 1 and
the other on Parcel No . 2 were excavated to about a 3-foot depth .
The specific location of the two (2) percolation test holes are
shown on the attached "Parcel Map" .
All percolation tests conducted were performed in accordance
with the percolation test procedures outlined in the "Manual Of
Septic Tank Practice" published by the Department Of Health
Education And Welfare and the requirements of the San Joaquin
County Public Health Service, Environmental Health Division .
.Tames W .
