The Department has the following
comments'
• This proposed development may not create a major impact on I-5 when considered by
itself. However, when combined with the cumulative impacts of other existing and
proposed development in this area, the resulting traffic will contribute to the
significant congestion forecasted on 1,5.
• The Department supports the concept of"Fair Share Contributions" on the part of
developers due to traffic impacts by the proposed development. Therefore, it is our
reconunendation that the developer contribute their fair share for future improvements
to the T-5/Alpine Avenue interchange.
• The Department will not be held responsible for any noise impacts to this
development, including from the ultimate configuration of 1-5. A. noise study should
be completed to analyze federal requirements and be based on 20-year traffic
projections and the ultimate configuration of I-5. If there is a noise impact, the
developer has the responsibility to provide the mitigation,.
'Cal(runs improves mobility across California
