7
GIANELLI CO.
CERTIFIED CONSULTING ARBORISTS
September 7, 2006
Dave Strobel
Plymouth Oaks, LLC
7500 West Lane, Ste. 111
Stockton, CA 95210
Dear Dave,
This letter is presented to assure that the developer
of Plymouth Oaks Condominiums is meeting the requirements
set forth for the preservation of Heritage Oak trees .
There are three native Valley Oaks, Quercus lobata, located
at the site. The south tree has diameter at breast height
(DBH) of 32 inches; the center tree has a DBH of 37 inches;
and the north tree has a DBH of 42 inches with a bifurcated
trunk.
The plan indicates there is to be no grade change within
a 27-foot radius from the base of the trees. Also, no
construction will occur within this area. (Most modern day
construction around protected oaks is no closer than 9 feet
from the base and that is well within the drip line of most
oaks. ) The plans show the foundations of the homes will be
outside of the protected zone, at least 5 feet away from
the drip line of the trees. I believe this plan will have
no adverse effects on the health of the trees.
• The driveways between the trees will be constructed
of either a porous surface material or pavers without
mortared edges on a sand base.
2223 LAKESIDE AVENUE • STOCKTON, CA 95204 • 209/462-7533
