Do not apply endosulfan to fields under irrigatio_- . 2. Do not irrigate fields treated with endosulfan for 722 hour: following application. 3. Do not apply more than 1 . 5 lbs. a. i./•acre/application. Orchard crops and strawberries are exempted. 4 . A minimum 300 foot buffer zona shall exist between the treated area and a drain or canal to contain lrrigation/rain runoff before it is diochargwd into surface waters. The buffer zone may be a fallow field, 1.�asture land or an untreated Portion of the field. AERIAL APPLICATION 5. Endosulfan shall not be discharged at a height of more than 10 feet above the crop or target. Discharge shall be shutoff whenever it is necessa=°fir i to raise the equipment over obstacles such as trees or poles. 6. Do not apply endosulfan when the wind velocity exceeds 10 miles per hour (m p.h. ) . 7 . The flow of liquid to aircraft nozzles shall be controlled by a positive shutoff system as follows: (1) each individual nozzle shall be eauipped with a check valve and the flow controlled by a suckback device or a boom pressure release device; or (2) each individual nozzle shall be equipped with a positive action valve. 8. Aircraft nozzles shall not be equipped with any device or mechanism which would cause a sheet, cone, fan, or similar type dispersion of the dia- charged material, except as otherwise provided. 9. Aircraft boom- pressure shall not exceed 40 psi. r 10. Aircraft nozzles shall be equipped with orifices directed backwards, parallel to the horizontal axis of the aircraft in flight. 11. Fixed wing aircraft and helicopters operating in excess of 60 m.p.h. shall be equipped with ,het nozzles having an orifice of not less than 1/6 inch in diameter. 12. Helicopters operating at 60 m.p.h. or less shall be equipped as follows: ( 1) nozzles having an orifice not less than 1/16 inch in diameter, a number 46 (or equivalent) or larger whirlplate may be used; or , (2) fan nozzles with a fan angle number not larger than 80 degrees and a flow 4 rate not less than one gallon per minute at 40 psi (or equivalent) ; or ! (3) the Microfoil (R) boom (a coordinanted spray system including airfoil shaped nozzles with each orifice not less than 0.013 inches in diameter) . 13. The working boom length on fixed wing aircraft shall not exceed 3/4 of the wing span. The working boom length on helicopters shall not exceed 6/7 of the total rotor length or 3/4/ of the total rotor length where the rotor length exceeds forty (40) feet. Last Page Of Conditions `
