The following Uniform Fire Code and San Joaquin County Ordinance Code <br /> requirements will be applicable and shall be incorporated in the construction plans <br /> before submittal to the Community Development Department for a Building permit: <br /> a. Fire flow will be provided for proposed buildings by the use of: <br /> 1.) Appendix III-A of the Uniform fire code (public water mains). <br /> 2.) NFPA 1231 of the National Fire Code (static water supply) <br /> _3.) County Fire Chiefs Standard enclosed. <br /> _b. Fire hydrants shall be supplied in accordance with Appendix III-B of the <br /> Uniform Fire Code. <br /> c. Fire sprinkler systems shall be installed according to Article 10 of the <br /> California Fire Code and the appropriate standards and guides adopted <br /> in Chapter 35 of the Califomia Building Code and the California Electrical Code. <br /> _d. All valves controlling the water supply for automafic fire sprinkler systems and <br /> and water-flow switches shall be monitored in accordance with 904.3.1 of <br /> the California Fire Code. <br /> " e. Fire Department access roads shall be in accordance with section 902.2 <br /> of the California Fire Code and the standard adopted by the San Joaquin <br /> / County Fire Chief's Association Additional access may be required. <br /> Y f. Fire Department access to buildings shall be in accordance with 902.4 Key <br /> Boxes: A Knox Box shall be installed according to fire department Instructions. <br /> Fire Extinguishers shall be installed in accordance with California Fire Code, <br /> Volume 2, Standard 10-1. <br /> h. Fire permits may be required prior to occupancy to conduct operations <br /> hazardous to life or property. CFC 105.2.1 <br /> i. Mechanical refrigeration systems shall comply with all applicable codes <br /> (ammonia, etc.) <br />
