King <br /> From: Ted Tasiopoulos; (209) 953-7698 <br /> Senior Registered Environmental Health Specialist <br /> RE: PA-1200118 (UP), S00009292 <br /> 9698 South Priest Road, French Camp <br /> The San Joaquin County Development Title Requirements listed below have been identified as <br /> pertinent to this project. Other requirements may also apply. These requirements cannot be <br /> modified. <br /> A. A soil suitability/nitrate loading study incorporating proposed staff and customer use shall be <br /> submitted to the Environmental Health Department, indicating that the area is suitable for septic <br /> system usage. The studies must be approved by the Environmental Health Department prior to <br /> issuance of building permit(s). (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-1105.2(d)). <br /> A review fee of$625 must be paid at time of submittal to the Environmental Health Department. <br /> The sewage disposal system shall comply with the on site sewage standards of San Joaquin <br /> County prior to approval. A percolation test that meets absorption rates of the manual of septic <br /> tank practice or E.P.A. Design Manual for onsite wastewater treatment and disposal system is <br /> required for each parcel. A permit fee of$125 per percolation hole is required. <br /> B. The existing private water wells shall be tested for the chemical Dibromochloropropane (DBCP) <br /> and nitrates with the results submitted to the Environmental Health Department prior issuance <br /> of building permit(s). Samples are to be taken and analyzed by a State-approved laboratory <br /> (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-1115.7). <br /> C. Construct a water well under permit and inspection of the Environmental Health Department <br /> prior to occupancy. Should the number of non-resident individuals exceed 24 for at least 60 <br /> days per year, or the number of service connections exceed four, a yearly permit to operate a <br /> public water system will be required by the Environmental Health Department (San Joaquin <br /> County Development Title, Section 9-1120.2 and 9-1115.9.). <br /> The supplier must possess adequate financial, managerial, and technical capability to assure <br /> delivery of pure, wholesome, and potable drinking water in accordance with San Joaquin <br /> County Development Title, Sections 9-1120.2 and 9-1115.9 and C.C.R., Title 22, and Health <br /> and Safety Code, Section 116525 through 116570. <br /> Applicant shall contact Adrienne Ellsaesser, Lead Senior Registered Environmental Health <br /> Specialist, at (209) 468-0343, to determine if the existing well can be permitted as a public <br /> water system prior to final occupancy. <br />
