Priest Road Fremont, CA 94538 French Camp, CA 95231 REVISED PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A Use Permit application for a religious assembly with a maximum of 50 members. Phase 1, with building permits to be issued within 18 months, is the demolition of a 1,440 square foot agricultural building, the construction of a 4,890 square foot assembly hall and meditation building, and the construction of a 1,500 square foot restroom building. Phase 2, with building permits to be issued within 10 years, is the construction of 9 buildings containing 27 meditation cabins totaling 4,056 square feet for use by congregation members, the construction of a 10,000 square foot temple with an overall height of 80 feet, and the construction of a 340 square foot storage building. The existing house on site will be used by a religious elder. This parcel is not under a Williamson Act contract. The Property is zoned AU-20 (Agriculture- Urban Reserve, 20-acre minimum) and the General Plan designation is R/L(Low Density Residential). PROJECT LOCATION: The project site is located on the east side of S. Priest Road, 1,000 feet south of Wyman Road, south of Stockton. (APN/Address: 193-220-15; 9698 S. Priest Road, French Camp)(Supervisorial District 1) ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION: A Negative Declaration is being proposed for adoption. Copies of the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration are available at the Community Development Department. APPLICATION REVIEW: If you have any recommendations or comments on this project, please submit them to the Community Development Department no later than November 27, 2012. Comments or recommendations received after that date will not be used in staffs analysis and recommendation for this application.
