The proposed school
building consists of a former strip center that is called the Morada Center. It is our understanding
the school will occupy the entire building. Mr. Chance Wong of Wong Engineers. Inc. is the
Civil Engineer for the project.
The purpose of this investigation was to 1.)examine the underlying soil structure, 2.)conduct
percolation testing and 3.)provide an interpretation of the data obtained. As requested by the
San Joaquin Fnvironmental Health Department, information on the reliability of existing septic
systems at this location was also evaluated.
SUBSURFACE SOIL STRUCTURE
Our subsurface soil investigation began with the preparation of the percolation test borings. A
Mobile Drill B-53 Drill rig was used to bore two shallow test holes of 42 inches in depth and two
deep bonngs of 25 feet As denoted on the attached site plan, one shallow and one deep boring
was drilled in the area of the primary drainfield (denoted as "East Shallow/Deep") and a shallow
and deep boring was drilled in the 100%replacement area(denoted as "West Shallow/Deep").
The deep borings were not extended past 25 feet since the County ordinances specify seepage pit
depth to be a maximum of 25 feet. Sampling was accomplished with a split spoon sampler, with
18 inch samples retrieved from every five feet in depth The attached log of borings illustrate the
subsurface si( stricture.
1
Oyr nOMI tn0 1\TIO\I\WdwUW Oi 111<COn1100nU\1 plOp\f1)'el puI CIIMIfi rd MII ee<IV41 V11.MY\VOb\IMn M rprp<y<UOn er arsleTOny.COnO!V OIOnO Ov OYXOOIO rrOT er
reo YrInO>V.rpOn\Or INIMf Ir/\OOM1OC.!OMIngMI ue0IM wrrytT eul\OUi011en el OUO1XY r-Onfnal lnY}rtrlOn,Inc
