Weber Ave., Third Floor
Stockton, California 95202
Re: University Public School
Morada Shopping Center, Hwy. 99 Frontage Road
Stockton, California
Dear Mr. Huggins:
Last week I requested a letter summarizing your concerns expressed at our May 20, 1999
meeting regarding the aforementioned project. Since I have not received them to date, I am
writing this letter to summarize my understanding of our conversation and meeting:
1. I delivered to you the new septic disposal system prepared by Wong Engineers, and
the well tests for flow and purity, performed by CLS Labs, as requested by your office.
2. The proposed septic system removes the existing "school" building completely from
the existing septic system, providing a new septic tank and leach field serving the new
"school" exclusively.
3. You requested that we provide a new replacement leach field for the existing septic
system. As I explained to you, we are removing demand presently allocated to the
existing system, and thus should positively effect it's performance. Since we are not
utilizing the existing system to serve our project, your concerns with it are beyond our
purview, and should be addressed separately.
4. At that time, you additionally requested a nitrate loading test be performed on the
"whole site". It is my understanding that this is an expensive test to perform.
Additionally, on Monday May 24, 1999, 1 received a phone message from Mr. Ray Borges,
from you office, requesting a confirmation test be performed on the tetrachloroethene detected
on the CLS Lab report. He additionally requested that a test for inorganics be performed on the
well samples. We are pursuing both of these at this time. It is unfortunate that the inorganic test
was not previously requested.
Hugginsl Ar
4 South Central Court Stockton, California 96204 209 943-0405 209 943-0415 Pax
