' <br /> Community Development Department <br /> Development Services Division Community Oeveloprnci i1opL <br /> Attn: Kevin Swanson <br /> 1810 East Hazelton Avenue <br /> Stockton, CA 95205 <br /> RE: Application Number PA- 0700355 (SA) <br /> Dear Mr. Swanson_ <br /> The Heather Moor II Homeowner's Association is strongly opposed to the request for the re-zoning of <br /> the Pollardville property by the new property owner, Granite Bay Holdings, LLC. The Heather Moor II <br /> Homeowner's Association is a direct neighbor to this property, along the North property line. <br /> The Association would like to request a copy of the Staff Report and would also request that the <br /> Association be added to the mailing list(s) for all future public notice meetings related to this re-zoning <br /> application. <br /> It is the position of the Association that re-zoning this property would have a very negative affect on our <br /> community. The Association believes that a full service indoor recreational vehicle storage facility at <br /> that location would have an extremely negative affect on our neighborhood in many ways, such as.- <br /> increased <br /> s:increased traffic, increased noise, increased dangers for our neighborhood children walking to and <br /> from the nearby elementary school, and for the Association members, whose property either borders <br /> the property in question or has the property in their view, it would create a very intrusive glare at night <br /> from the anticipated security lighting that is associated with other storage facilities. <br /> The Association also is questioning why a storage facility would be approved for this property as there <br /> already exists two other storage facilities within less than one mile of this property. <br /> Should the Planning Commission choose to ignore not only our opposition, but the opposition of many, <br /> many others, and decide to approve the re-zoning, our Association, at a minimum, would strongly <br /> request that a brick (or of similar composition) sound wall, of at least 8 feet in height, be required along <br /> the North, East and South property lines, and that the hours of operation be restricted to daytime use <br /> only. <br /> In closing, we ask that you forward our written notice of opposition to anyone else who may need to <br /> receive it.
