KLEINFELDER
An employee owned company
File No. 20-0268-01
December 5, 2002
Mr. Neil Pollard
Pollardville
10464 N. Highway 99
Stockton, CA 95212-1818
Subject: SOILS SUITABILITY AND NITRATE LOADING STUDY
POLLARDVILLE RESTAURANT AND THEATRE COMPLEX
10464 N. HIGHWAY 99—STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA
Dear Mr. Pollard:
Kleinfelder is pleased to present the results of our soil suitability and nitrate loading study for the
proposed restaurant and theatre improvements at your facility at 10464 N. Highway 99 in
Stockton, California. The purpose of our study was to determine the suitability of the property
for septic tank usage. The study was performed in general accordance to the requirements of
Section 9-10100© of San Joaquin County Ordinance with additional requirements based on our
discussions with Mr. Mike Huggins of San Joaquin County Public Health Services,
Environmental Health Division(SJCPHS/EHD). The following includes background information
regarding the present use of the site, analytical data on nitrate loading of the waste stream,
nitrate concentrations in the soil adjacent to existing leach lines, and the groundwater depth in
the area. In addition, discussions regarding our investigative procedures and the site conditions
encountered during our field exploration and the results of percolation tests are presented.
Finally, the results of our nitrate loading calculations and project limitations are provided.
PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT
The proposed improvements to the Pollardville facility is simply to provide additional toilets.
Currently, the restaurant restrooms have seven toilets and urinals and the theatre restrooms
include five additional toilets and urinals. Although the restaurant is open every day, the theatre
operates only three nights a week from 7 PM to 1 AM. The approximate maximum capacity for
both the restaurant and theatre is 100. We understand that no other operational changes are
anticipated. In other words neither the theatre or restaurant are being expanded to allow more
p,U=s. We also understand that anyof the patrons who use the restaurant aratnee as
those who use the theatre facility afterwards.
Also located at the facility is a two-bedroom residence and a one-bedroom apartment. These
residential units are currently occupied by three adults and one child.
20-0268-01/ST02R886 December 5,2002
©2002 Kleinfelder,Inc.
