Hazelton.Ave.
Stockton, CA 95205
Sent via.Fax to209 45 - ].63
RE: PA-0610287 UP
Dear Ms. Hatef,
The San Joaquin Farm Bureau Federation opposes this Use Permit Application for a Regional
Religious Assembly with.a.seating capacity of 1,000 people to be built in six phases. In no way
do we oppose tate right of people to worship in a place of their choice. We do oppose the
encroachment of establishments not relating to agriculture continually applying for special use
permits to build on agricultural land. Land zoned in San Joaquin County with an AG prefix is
for the production of food and .fiber_
We request that this proposed project be required to do a full Environmental Impact Report
(EIR), if the County chooses to approve this Use Permit. The placement of such as large facility
and school site in the AG zone, have the potential to adversely affect surrounding agricultural
operations and accepted farming practices. This facility may also impair local habitat and water
quality along Bear Creek.
Thank you for your time and wnsidoration.. Please keep us informed of any further actions and
any information that may be provided by staff concerning this matter.
Sincerely,
&Vk-
f
Tom Orvis
Program Director
P.O.BOX 8444 • 3290 NORTH AD ART ROAD - (209)931,4931 - STOCKTON.CALIFORNIA 95208
