San JoaquinValley �k-�1 <br /> AIR POLLUTION CONTROL DISTRICT <br /> aom:muril v D-Jel.oprnent Dept, <br /> June 21 , 2007 <br /> Mo Hatef <br /> San Joaquin County <br /> Community Development Department <br /> 1810 East Hazelton Avenue <br /> Stockton, CA 95205 <br /> Project: PA-0600287 (UP) <br /> Subject: CEOA comments regarding a Regional Religious Assembly, built in six phases, <br /> totaling 76,100 square feet. <br /> District Reference No: 20070/160 <br /> Dear Ms. Hatef: <br /> The San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District (District) has reviewed the <br /> project referenced above and offers the following comments: <br /> This project would contribute to the overall decline in air quality due to construction <br /> activities in preparation of the site, and ongoing traffic and other operational emissions. <br /> Based on the information provided, the District expects that the project would not exceed <br /> the District's Thresholds of Significance for ozone precursors of 10 tons per year of <br /> reactive organic gases (ROG) and oxides of nitrogen (NOx). However, the increase in <br /> emissions from this project, and others like it, cumulatively reduce the air quality in the <br /> San Joaquin Valley. A concerted effort should be made to reduce project-related <br /> emly-single -is o Iflined below- <br /> Applicable <br /> Applicable District Rules <br /> Based on the information provided, the proposed project will be subject to the District <br /> rules identified below. These rules have been adopted by the District to reduce <br /> emissions throughout the San Joaquin Valley, and are required.
