PUBLIC 11tALTH SERVItfS
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DIVISION ".ILA `
Karen Furst, M.D., M.P.H., Health Officer c. P
qFp•Rt
304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor - Stockton, CA 95202
209/468-3420
June 27, 2001
TO: San Joaquin County
Community Development Department
FROM: Public Health Services
Environmental Health Division
CONTACT PERSON: Larry Godinho, Senior R.E.H.S./R.D.I. vo
PHONE NUMBER: (209)468-0330
RE: LA-01-43,Attention Leanne Mueller
15051 South State Route 99 East Frontage Road, Manteca
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division (EHD) recommends denial of the
proposed lot line adjustment in view of the following concerns:
The proposed Parcel B, resulting in 7500 square feet size parcel in the CG (General Commercial)
with onsite well and septic, for all practical purposes is non-buildable. It would be extremely
difficult to meet distance and size standards in conjunction with other agency requirements.
In addition, the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, Water Quality Control Plan
(Basin Plan) establishes minimum criteria for septic systems. The creation of Parcel B may not
afford the EHD the ability to meet that minimum distance requirement.
The Environmental Health Division would support the merger of the parcels as required for SA-
01-20 in an effort to meet the needs and requirements for the proposed project.
D
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
