Other requirements may also apply. These requirements cannot be
modified.
A. Environmental Health Division requires a soil suitability study/nitrate loading study
indicating that the area is suitable for septic tank usage, including the number of students and
staff. This must be performed prior to issuance of building permits as required by Section 9-
1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development Title. A nitrate loading study is required
and a review fee of$435.00 must be paid at time of submittal to Environmental Health
Division.
The sewage disposal system shall comply with the on site sewage standards of San Joaquin
County prior to approval. A percolation test that meets absorption rates of the manual of
septic tank practice or E.P.A. Design Manual for onsite wastewater treatment and disposal
system is required for each parcel. A permit fee of$87.00 per percolation hole is required.
NOTE: Applicant has suggested utilizing the abandoned septic system on this site (historically
last used for Goehring Meat Company). A California Registered Engineer would need to
evaluate the ability to accept the waste generated by the school and determine if the septic system
is structurally sound and can be expected to perform appropriately. A report from the engineer
would need to be submitted to Environmental Health Division for review and approval with the
appropriate fee.
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
