On Friday,
April 13,you requested our office to leave the boring open because some beneficial flow was observed
within the hole that is apparently draining the wet septic field. I did not think the County would allow
this to occur therefore I fold you that we would be required abandon the boring(as soon as possible
probably Monday or Tuesday next week)per San.xoaquin County Requirements.
On Monday,April 16,Ted Norgard observed the flow in the hole and indicated that it would be
acceptable to leave the hole open for awhile and it could be abandoned some later time.Lee Hunt was
also present and reiterated your desire to keep the hole open.Under this circumstance, the boring in it's
open condition is under your care and responsibility. You should contact us when you would like to
abandon the boring. In the mean time,we suggest you protect the open hole with plywood covering and
traffic cones- If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call.
r
Sincerely,
NEIL O.ANDERSON &ASSOC.,INC.
Dhvfa-!.Welch,M.Sc., Senior Geologist
CEG-2151,CHG-653
DJW_djw
cc: Ted Norgard
(LG01-107-1.wpd)
