Mr.Jerry Violett
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS 4
December 8,2003
Page 4
TABLE 2
TRIP GENERATION ESTIMATE
Total trip ends in peak a.m.hour 120 to 150
"Pass By"trips ends drawn from existing traffic 70%
Net"New"trip ends 36 to 45
Conclusions. The intent of the minimum trip generation threshold contained in San Joaquin
County Traffic Study Guidelines is to identify those development proposals that would be
reasonably unlikely to have significant traffic impacts. Based on this review it is reasonable to
conclude that the "new" trips generated by this project would fall below the 50 peak hour trip
threshold. While staff review of the project site plan to confirm the adequacy of access sight
distance is recommended, additional study is not required to confirm that the impacts of this project
would be less that significant from a CEQA standpoint.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or need additional information.
Sincerely yours,
kdANDERSON Transportation Engineers
Kenneth D.
