Date: August 24, 2006 Re: Lead Agency Project Title: N/A Lead Agency Project Number: PA-0600410 (SA) Assessor Parcel Number(s): 005-160-11 Total Acres to be converted from Open Space Use: 3.37 acres Habitat Types to be Disturbed: Natural Land Species Impact Findings: Findings to be determined by SJMSCP biologist. Dear Ms. Allen: SJCOG, Inc. has reviewed application PA-0600140(SA). This project involves a site approval application to establish a retail cheese shop to include the manufacture of cheese for on-site sales. Phase One to include moving existing light construction sales and construction of maintenance/storage building. Phase two will include construction of an 11,250 square foot building for cheese making, and sale of cheese and other food items.This phase will also include a 1,500 square foot seating area and drive thru. This project is located on the northwest corner of State Route 99 West Frontage Road and Woodson Road, Acampo. San Joaquin County is a signatory to San Joaquin County Multi-Species Habitat Conservation and Open Space Plan (SJMSCP). Participation in the SJMSCP satisfies requirements of both the state and federal endangered species acts, and ensures that the impacts are mitigated below a level of significance in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). Although participation in the SJMSCP is voluntary, lead agents should be aware that if project applicants choose against participating in the SJMSCP, they will be required to provide alternative mitigation in an amount and kind equal to that provided in the SJMSCP. This Project is subject to the SJMSCP. Please contact SJMSCP staff regarding completing the following steps to satisfy SJMSCP requirements: ■ Schedule a SJMSCP Biologist to perform a pre-construction survey prior to any ground disturbance ■ Sign and Return Incidental Take Minimization Measures to SJMSCP staff (given to project applicant after pre-construction survey is completed) ■ Pay appropriate fee based on SJMSCP findings ■ Receive your Certificate of Payment and release the required permit If you have any questions, please call (209)468-3913.
